Skin relaxing injections contain a toxin that is administered directly into the muscles of the affected area. It gets to work fairly rapidly, easing muscle contraction and softening their movements. This helps to prevent channels from forming in the underlying tissues, which the overlying skin would otherwise settle into, creating a visible crease / wrinkle.

Am I suitable for skin relaxing injections?
This treatment is used for reducing the appearance of facial wrinkles, including: forehead lines, crow’s feet, glabella lines and nasolabial folds (smile lines). Checks on your medical history and general health during the consultation will determine your suitability.
Is this procedure safe?
Chester Cosmetic Surgery applies this treatment using the correct dosage of toxin injected in the right places, ensuring a safe and effective result.
Will this procedure hurt?
Although we use a fine needle, some patients may find the injection process a little uncomfortable. At the consultation we’ll discuss the use of a topical numbing cream, applied 20-30 minutes prior to treatment.
Are there any side effects or risks?
Any treatment comes with a degree of risk, and all risks will be discussed at consultation. Minor side effects are to be expected, which may include: redness, swelling, small puncture marks and slight bruising.
When will I see the results?
Skin relaxing injections provide a rapid result that is often visible before leaving the practice. Smoother skin that provides a more youthful appearance often lasts for around 3-6 months. This can be maintained through regular repeat procedures.
